24 x 24 in Acrylic on Canvas | SOLD | PRINTS available
Two statements of dramatic visual graphics come to play in this one location. The stark black remnants of burnt forest surrounded by young evergreen regrowth and lush fall ground foliage. And beyond, surreal luminous white cliffs of marble and rust colored stone sweeping and rising in angles above the valley. A drive-by glimpse of astounding contrast unlike any other. Marble Canyon Hwy 99 BC.
Layers of textured glazes, spatter & drybrush in acrylic create an organic pattern suggesting tiny foliage and distant stony ramparts. Glowing glazes were left unpainted to enhance the color and spatter effect.
