I will be teaching Sketching & Watercolor
aboard the Cunard Vessel Queen Victoria
from Nov 16 – Dec 14.
Instruction happens only on “at Sea” days, 2 sessions of 2 hour classes. From complete beginners to experienced. Students receive a travel paint box and supplies as a package on the ship (which means I don’t have to pack materials other than my own)
The rest of the time – I am just a regular passenger and will enjoy my “shore leave” with sketching adventures and excursions.
We depart from Southampton and head first for Lisbon, Portugal. The first 2 weeks I will be sailing solo (apart from the other thousands of passengers and staff…) as the ships visits four of the Canary Islands and then Madiera, and Coruna Spain.
On return to Southampton we will pick up Brian and sail south again through Gibraltar to Seville/Cadiz. We will have 2 weeks to enjoy the remaining journey visiting Barcelona, Rome, Naples and Sardinia.
I hope to keep a running blog of my journey with sketches, paintings and journaling my experience. But…as it is a ship there may be challenges with connecting to the internet. And I will be updating and writing on my giant smartphone.
Which will also be a sketching tool for me.
