My set up : 9×12 Guerilla Box, small Masterson wet pallette , large tripod and my Best Brella – not raining – but the fog was falling on the fresh acrylic painted panel
Great hazy fog – but my favorite bit was the little dingy swaying on the surface and tugging on its rope. The challenge at this busy dock is – the boats keep arriving & leaving!
My usual underpainted Burnt Sienna ground color – makes everthing pop out from the grey atmosphere.
The colors were SO intense in the bright, overcast fog – everthing seems so luminous and saturated.
On site (left) and finished in the studio (right) that looming sky was the thunderstorm that chased us in Sunday pm. Perfect timing !
Our big banner were a great hit with visitors – boats, planes and otherwise.
Original Acrylic on masonite by Brian Romer 11×14
another view of Molly’s Reach – I wonder how many time it has been photographed & now painted…?
Out private corner of the harbour deck
Display at the Arts Building – Sunday pm
curious visitors chat with Sonia Mocnik
Dennis & Brian Romer sharing travel stories
Ruth Rodgers (right) and her marvelous pastel box – still painting at the Arts Building
Harbour hide & seek in the fog – Jan Poynter & Dennis O’Brian
