Sometimes you have to ask yourself what your time is worth.
What your energy is worth. What your peace of mind is worth.
and then pay to keep it.
That means sucking it up and paying for a float plane.
From Sechelt to Naniamo(20 min) walk 10 minutes
to a little ferry to Gabriola Island (20 min) and you’re there.
The alternative to:
paying for gas & costly reservations, sitting in lineups
paying $$$ for 3 ferries and travelling one way for a about 8.5 hours. (if everything is on schedule!)
and you have that to look forward to on the return trip. What a waste of 2 whole days!
Blessings on our friends on Gabriola who had an extra vehicle for us to use
This wouldn’t have been possible otherwise.
and the views from the air on a sunny day are spectacular.
Thanks to Harbour Air for their tolerance of my overweight bags
(the result of trying to pack all the new painting tools & supplies)
Tofino Air actually flies direct from Van airport to Gabriola Island’s Silva Bay.
see the following blog posts to see the new paintings.
