# 24 Urban Sketchcrawl – Vancouver / Poynter

The Urban Sketchcrawl was the brainchild of Enrico Casarosa, in San Fransisco, 2006. He chooses a date every 3-4 months and posts it on their website.

and then the fun begins…in a global fallout. Sketchers all over the world using the online forum make plans to meet on that date and do a walking sketch tour of their cities. At the end of the day the drawings/paintings are posted back to the website. This session one of the participants created a Google map linking to the results from locations around the world. MAP LINK

It was my first “crawl” and I think it is a wonderful opportunity to bring together like-minded artists in person ( unlike so many other internet activities…) to enjoy a social and challenging creative day.
Celebrating 5 years of Sketchcrawl the next date is Sat – November 21
Check the forum under the VANCOUVER posting for meeting location and updates.
